Itโ€™s nearly midnight, and I canโ€™t stop thinking about it. That idea we sharedโ€ฆ itโ€™s haunting me. I keep circling it, like smoke, like a promise. Thatโ€™s why Iโ€™m here, isnโ€™t it? To make something with meaning. To chase silence. To craft whatโ€™s mine, and still leave it yours.

I canโ€™t seem to shake it.

Call me when you wake upโ€ฆ

FINE ART FILM PHOTOGRAPHY ROOTED IN INTIMACY, RITUAL, & THE FEMALE GAZE.

Emily Zoe is a fine art film photographer creating cinematic, unposed imagery for women and mothers โ€” photographs that feel lived-in, honest, and deeply human.

A Slow, Human Approach to Photography

I photograph on film because it asks me to slow down โ€” and because it asks the same of the people I photograph.

My work is rooted in presence, not performance. Iโ€™m drawn to what unfolds naturally: movement, breath, quiet gestures, the way light falls across a body or a room. Sessions are unposed and collaborative, shaped by curiosity rather than instruction.

Iโ€™m less interested in perfection than I am in truth. In how something felt.

The images we make together are meant to linger โ€” photographs you return to not because theyโ€™re polished, but because theyโ€™re honest.

PHOTOGRAPHY AS A RITUAL OF TRANSFORMATION

I believe photography is not just a way of recording moments; itโ€™s a way of witnessing them.

My work is centered on intimacy, vulnerability, and the quiet emotional undercurrent of everyday life. I photograph women and mothers in a way that feels slow and intentional, allowing space for presence, softness, and truth to emerge without performance.

Each image is treated as a visual poem โ€” shaped by light, shadow, and sensation rather than poses or perfection.

Text that reads 'E M I Z Y Z' in stylized, outlined black letters.

THIS WORK IS UNAPOLOGETIC.

Itโ€™s for those drawn to film and the beauty of imperfection. For women who value images that are honest, intimate, and unguarded, because that is the container in which we co-create. Youโ€™re seeking tangible artifacts of a meaningful existence, and an experience that asks for trust, presence, and openness.

If youโ€™re looking for something highly produced, heavily edited, or a replica of another artistโ€™s work, with love I say, I am not the right eye for you.

INTIMATE PORTRAITS, MOTHERHOOD & FAMILY, CREATIVE CONCEPTS

WE START WITH CURIOSITY HERE

A woman is standing nude in a bedroom, lifting her top over her head, with artwork on the wall behind her.
A person bending over, seen from behind, wearing a sleeveless top. In the background, two jackets are hanging on a wall; one is a white jacket with a flower graphic and the text "Call Me You Get Lost."

PHOTOGRAPHS THAT HOLD FEELING.

Beyond commissioned work.

In addition to client sessions, my practice extends into long-form personal projects and limited-edition fine art prints. These bodies of work explore themes of womanhood, motherhood, ephemerality, and transformation - offered as prints to physically touch.
